The mushroom that broke the Yoshi's back. I've had it.
I've upgraded to Windows 8.1 a few months ago, and since the same day I installed it all I got was problems.
Memory/CPU leaks.
Crashes.
Corrupted files.
Lagging programs.
Horrible performance in video games.
Folders changing their viewing options however they feel like it when I don't bloody tell them to.
Missing files that are needed.
The final straw?
Today for some damn reason out of no where, Windows Installer decided to screw up and die. Because of it, the right side of my USB ports will not work right.
I know the USB ports are not damaged because when I restart, my USB mouse will run from either one of the ports...
...as long as I don't pull it out and put it back in.
All my other devices will not run as they don't have an outside source like my mouse so restarting or not, they will not load. Installer is dead and see no way to fix it without "refreshing" the computer.
Refreshing just removes all installed files and re-add all the default ones and just keep a memo of what it removed.
If that's the case... why even bother just refresh?
I'm reformatting this damn thing and keeping it back at Windows 8.
The only reason I upgraded to 8.1 is because I heard 10 would be million times better than 8 as I loathe 8 even more than I loathe Vista.... and I really loathed Vista.
At least I can use Windows 8 and Start8 and let it work "almost" lie how Windows 7 used to be.
Doesn't help that Windows 10 was postponed until bloody fall and there is no way I'm going to torture and struggle my damn self for the next few months fighting more with 8.1.
I have the patience of a Saint... well the 3rd Street Saints... so I've had it. To hell with Windows 10. To hell with 8.1.
It will take me a few days to get back at LEAST online and set.
Back to normal? Will take months as ALWAYS, but at least while I keep updating myself back to normal, I won't be gone for months on end as the bare things I needed to get back to normal will be the 1st things back on the reformatted computer.
